- High Pressure Sodium-
Efficient
High Pressure Sodium lights give off a yellow-amber light. Longest HID (High Intensity Discharge) lamp life with minimal reduction in light level as lamp ages. Very efficient in terms of energy usage.
- Metal Halide-
Powerful
Metal Halide lights have excellent color rendition, giving off a nearly white light. Moderate lamp life. They are more efficient than the old mercury vapor but less than high pressure sodium in terms of energy usage.
- LED-
Smart
LED lighting fixtures have an efficiency that is greatly superior to HID fixtures and should be strongly considered in new and upgraded exterior lighting systems. With not only 50%-80% energy cost savings, but the long life of LEDs will save even more in reduced maintenance costs.
